Hello
My Mission Statement:
My mission is to consolidate and share my lived and learned experiences of Endogenous Cushing Syndrome & Secondary Adrenal Insufficiency.
I am utilizing literature from peer-reviewed journals and medical textbooks, honest accounts of my personal experiences, and practical resources to build a comprehensive hub. I am committed to advocating for better emergency management of adrenal insufficiency and adrenal crisis.
Education & Awareness
My goal is to bring together everything I’ve learned, lived, and researched to create a centralized resource—essentially, the guide I wish I had when I began this journey, including:
(1) Life immediately after an ECS diagnosis
(2) Realistic expectations heading into surgery
(3) The complex recovery period that begins after the initial surgical healing (SAI)
Medical Providers Selection
Selecting the right provider is critical. I have experienced the full spectrum. Some clinicians helped, some caused harm, and each taught me something important about what effective care should look like.
Support
HOPE, ENCOURAGEMENT, KNOWLEDGE, EMERGENCY PLANS, INSPIRATION, REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS.
Personal Motivations
For the family and friends who know I’ve been unwell and frequently in the hospital: It's difficult to explain the full picture via texts. And if you know me, you know how I feel about "phone talk" LOL.
This website lays it all out.
I’m also using this platform as a form of personal accountability. The recovery plan I've developed is quite challenging. I do my best when I hold myself to my word, so this space will serve as my anchor.
Advocacy Efforts
I also hope to raise awareness about the serious gaps in emergency care for adrenal insufficiency and adrenal crisis, and to help change how these situations are recognized and treated.
Guides, Tools, Products, Resources
A hub for every tracker, guide, emergency protocol sheet, medical-history template, and products (both good and bad) that I have gathered. Some I designed myself, others I will be citing from reliable sources.
The tools I wish I had on day one.
Gratitude for the Support
What to know:
This website is the story of my journey to recovery.
In February 2025, I was diagnosed with Endogenous Cushing Syndrome and in April 2025, I had my right adrenal gland and a 4.8cm tumor removed. As expected, I was postoperatively diagnosed with Secondary Adrenal Insufficiency. I have been trying to recover ever since.

This recovery takes a holistic approach. It's building harmony between my mind and my body. These components together create the comprehensive recovery plan - this symbol will define and guide my recovery.
My Three Pillars of Healing
1. The Vagus Nerve → Strengthening
2. The HPA Axis → Reactivating
3. Circadian Rhythm → Restoring
The Sun: restoration of my circadian rhythm.
The Brain: consolidates the core neurological elements (the hypothalamus, pituitary gland, and vagus nerve).
The Lotus: stands for calm, peace, and stress reduction.
The kidneys: are blue in honor of my mom’s favorite color,
The Pink Cap: my remaining left adrenal gland;
my small but resilient warrior.

Recovery Mantra:
My recovery is not a race to taper off prednisone.
It's a journey to never have to take it again.
I trust my body's pace more than my mind's impatience.
Calm, peaceful days will bring strong tomorrows.
And when it gets tough...
I am safe in this moment. My body is finding its rhythm again. I don’t have to brace for the worst. this calm is real. I don’t know what caused the tumor, but I’m proud of my body for patiently waiting for doctors to find it. I am grateful it was benign. We’re going to be okay. I can enjoy this peace.
